the night before we made our own pasta salad. and it was really good! you just need to add some olive oil, lemon juice, ham and some of your favourite spices/seasonings into your penne and you’re good to go!

hey,

so continuing our second part of cafe hopping after having our healthy lunch at living café, we headed to necessary provisions for a good cup of coffee + tea snacks! since it was my first time here, it was nice just getting absorbed into the atmosphere of the place and also just admiring the little trinkets that were behind our table.

DSC01951

we ordered ice latte, flat white and two desserts (sorry i forgot what dessert are those))):) to share.
oh and notice the conical flask on the right? it’s actually sugar syrup for my latte! its unique right? hehehe.

the living café

Part I of our cafe hopping experience

Well this cafe is a unique one because they serve “raw” food as told by Edmund. At first both of us didn’t have any idea what it meant, we thought that “raw” food meant sashimi and salads, mainly food that were not grilled or steamed, anything like that. But instead, it’s actually food that are cooked that’s nothing above 48oC and with ingredients that are not chemically modified.  They do not serve red meat, cow dairy, white sugar, gluten free food, etc. So this was what “raw” food meant! So much better than my lame sashimi/salad theory… I tried their flat white and it was really different when they switch up cow’s milk for hazelnut milk… Hahaha. If anyone is up for a healthy lifestyle/diet, you should give this place a try!

Look who we met! Kairong and Jeff who became cooks in the cafe, what a pleasant surprise to meet them on that day!

dating @ river safari

Hi!! I just came back from Taiwan and there are so many pictures to show you all! I’ll post it up soon :)

But firstly, I wanna post up photos of my river safari trip with Edmund! We went together two weeks ago because I was going to Taiwan and he’s going to Bintan so wouldn’t be seeing him for that whole week that’s why we decided to go on a date :3

Just realized that my iPhone produced pretty decent photos ^_^

So yeah our first stop was to look at otters!! We started from the end of the map instead of the beginning hahaha.

All the otters look damn comfortable and nua lor, I wanna be like them just sunbathing all day long! And these two are the bigger species of the otter family so it’s super long and slender~ Still cute, but wait till you look at the red pandas!

IMG_5866

IMG_5867

Then we want to see the gentle sea giants – Manatee/Sea Cows. Awman they’re damn round and they always look so happy hahaha

IMG_5873

Piranhas, doesn’t look intimidating at all. Looks like the rabbit fish imo.

IMG_5898

SUPER CUTE RED PANDAS. I want to keep them in my pockets so baddddd. They are damn active and likes to walk around all the time! It looks super fluffy. How adorable :] And these red pandas are so much more popular than the pandas, maybe because of how active it is!

IMG_5900

IMG_5901

PANDAS – the highlight in river safari. There’s supposed to be two of them but I think one of them is naturally shy so it doesn’t like to come out of it’s enclosure as often as this one. Also, I think the panda was sleeping, so nothing much to wow about!

IMG_5904

Hahahaha Idk what he was trying to do. Probably promoting the panda!

IMG_5906

IMG_5908

Oh then we went back to look at the red pandas again cos I adore them so much!!It even faced my direction to let me take a nice photo of it :3

IMG_5910

HAHA he was trying to imitate the panda ._.

IMG_5911

IMG_5912

We went into the panda shop to fool around after looking at the pandas

IMG_5915

HAD PANDA RED BEAN PAU! Tbh the fast-food restaurant that sold this pau felt like a knock-off expensive american chinese restaurant to me. Other than the cute pau, the rest of the food doesn’t taste good.

IMG_5918

Thinking deep thoughts~

IMG_5919

Went to the Amazon River Quest ride after our meal! We even got the whole boat to ourselves hehehe lucky us, perks of going on a weekday :3

IMG_5920

That’s me riding on the river quest for the first time!!!!

IMG_5931

I think that’s a pelican/crane mixed breed HAHA
(okay I checked, that’s a Lesser Adjutant Stork ._.)

IMG_5933

This is at Mekong River, where they have the giant stingrays and other big fishes!

IMG_5948

IMG_5956

IMG_5957

Ended our river safari trip with selfies!!!

Then we went to Lot 1 to watch Non-Stop. Just a tip, don’t watch this movie days before you fly off somewhere else if not you will be freaked out!

River Safari Singapore
Admission Tickets: SGD 25 (5% off if you buy online!!)
River Quest Tickets: SGD 5

Oh yeah, River Safari isn’t as hot as the Singapore Zoo because it has more air conditioned and sheltered areas :)
okay toodles!
